How to get from Krakow to Milan? Best ways

Milan is a city that is definitely more fascinating and interesting than Krakow, and it’s worth visiting during your travels in Europe. Many tourists wonder how to get from Krakow to Milan in Italy. How long does it take, and how much does the flight cost? Are there flights from Krakow to Milan? What is the best way to get from Krakow to Milan?

When in Krakow, the most obvious and, of course, the best way to get to Milan is by flying. Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Krakow to Linate Airport, which is the closest to the center of Milan and easily accessible by metro.

From Kraków Airport, we have the option to fly to two airports serving Milan: Milan Malpensa Airport, named after Silvio Berlusconi and located in Ferno, or Milan Bergamo Airport in Bergamo. From both of these airports, it is very easy, quickly and cheap to get to the center of Milan.

Fly to Milan Bergamo Airport

From Krakow to Milan Bergamo Airport, several flights operate daily, both early in the morning and late in the evening. There are even days when three flights depart from Krakow to Milan Bergamo Airport.

Flights to Milan Bergamo Airport from Krakow are operated by the low-cost airline Ryanair. It may not be the most comfortable airline, but it is affordable. By booking early, tickets from Krakow can be purchased starting from around 80 PLN during the off-season and 150 PLN during the tourist season.

From Milan Bergamo Airport, you can take a direct bus to Milan for 10 EUR. Alternatively, you can take bus line 1 to the center of Bergamo in just a few minutes to explore this beautiful small Italian town.

The flight from Krakow to Milan Bergamo Airport takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Fly to Milan Malpensa Airport

From Krakow, low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air also fly to Milan Malpensa Airport. There are fewer connections, usually one or a maximum of two per day. This airport is significantly larger than Bergamo but is located in a less interesting area.

Getting to the center of Milan from Milan Malpensa Airport is very easy, either by airport bus or the special Malpensa Express train. Malpensa Airport is not much farther than Bergamo Airport, so the flight also takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or 40 minutes at most.

Flights to Malpensa Airport cost similarly, meaning they can be booked very cheaply well in advance. As with all low-cost airlines, the earlier you book, the lower the price you’ll get. Therefore, it’s best to book your flight from Krakow to Milan, regardless of which airport you choose, well in advance.
