When planning a vacation in Kraków, the question often arises: how much do taxis in Kraków cost? What are the prices of taxis in Kraków? How much does a taxi in Kraków cost?

Taxi prices in Kraków

There are many taxi companies operating in Kraków, and their price lists definitely differ. There is one common feature, and that is the initial fee, which almost always amounts to 9 złoty. What are the prices of taxis in Kraków in individual companies? We have taken into account the most popular companies.

In Kraków, we warn against taking taxis directly from taxi stands. The press has reported many cases of fraud. If we decide to take a taxi, it is safest to order it through an app or by calling the taxi dispatch center.

When it comes to taxi prices in Kraków in Tariff I, i.e., on weekdays from 6:00 to 22:00, the cheapest among those we checked is the iCar company (2.79 PLN).

Right after it is EkoTaxi, where the cost is 2.98 PLN. Next are companies like Mega (2.99 PLN), followed by Wawel, where the price per 1 km is 3.50 złoty.

In Tariff II, the lowest price per 1 km is EkoTaxi at 3.18 PLN, iCar with a price of 3.80 PLN, Mega with a price of 3.59 PLN, and Wawel with a price of 4.50 zł per kilometer in Tariff II. In the Barbakan taxi company, the price in Tariff II is also 4.50 zł.

What differentiates the prices among taxi companies in Kraków is the cost of waiting (idle time). EkoTaxi charges 48 zł, Mega 44 zł, iCar 44 zł, and Wawel 49 zł for 1 hour of waiting.

We warn travelers to Kraków against getting into unmarked “taxis” and cars that may appear near Galeria Krakowska on Pawia Street or near the bus station on Bosacka Street.
